To [Eric H](/387): I agree entirely with the need for a higher IQ in the the oval office, definitely in the form of either Hilary or Obama. I don’t have quite the interest in politics that you do, but what I have noticed during some of the primaries were the very different forms of presentation of policy. Barrack as you said seems to speak of hope, but I’m not sure that I need hope so much as a strong declaration of policy, and I could do with a little less of the MLK Jr “I have a Dream” speeches he’s got going on. Hilary–I don’t like her as much as a person but I’m not strongly opposed to any of her policies, which she states clearly and without pretense, except maybe civil unions. However, in the end I’d definitely vote Obama. Just curious, what do you think of policies on gay marriage, since that is one of the only major differences between the two candidates’ stances?
